Dr Emrus Sihombing : Suatu Saat Saya Bermimpi Indonesia Menjadi Petani Berdasi

 

Pekanbaru – Bapak Presiden ingatkan potensi krisis pangan akibat pandemi covid-19. Kata Dr., Emrus Sihombing, Komunikolog Indonesia Pada Diskusi Publik Ketahanan Pangan Nasional di Pusdiklat Aliansi pewarta Pertanian Indonesia (APPI) di jalan Uka Desa Rimbo Panjang Kabupaten Kampar, Sabtu (03/4/21).

 

“Artinya Bapak Presiden sudah mengingatkan hal ini, harus kita tangkap kita harus membuat usaha mikro kecil dan menengah dibidang pertanian, “ungkap Emrus.

 

Ia menjelaskan usaha dibidang mikro kecil dan menengah dalam bidang pertanian bisa dikembangkan, mengingat sektor pertanian yang sangat luas, diantaranya sektor perikanan, pertanian, perkebunan dan peternakan.

 

Melihat potensi yang sangat luas tersebut, kata Emrus, masyarakat di pekanbaru, Riau umumnya dan indonesia memiliki kesempatan untuk mengembangkan usaha dibidang pertanian.

 

Emrus menilai pada Undang-undang Cipta Kerja dapat dikeluarkan peraturan pemerintah dalam menjawab tantangan kerawanan pangan itu.

 

“Tupoksi yang menangani secara langsung adalah kementrian pertanian, kementrian kehutanan, dan kementrian koperasi”.

 

Tiga kementrian ini menurutnya menjadi lokomotif agar usaha mikro kecil dan menegah menjadi maju, “karena itulah ketika kita mengalami kerawanan pangan terjadi, ketiga kementrian ini lah yang bertanggung jawab, “pungkas komunikolog itu.

 

Ia berharap ketiga kementrian ini memberikan modal kepada usaha mikro kecil dan menengah, termasuk didalamnya modal kerja. tidak sekedar memberi biaya operasional atau sekedar memberikan pupuk, tetapi juga diberikan barang modal seperti mesin traktor dan lain-lain.

 

“Kelompok tani sebaiknya diberikan mesin traktor, agar mekanisasi pertanian terjadi didalamnya, “ujar Emrus

 

Dengan adanya teknologi dalam bidang pertanian diharapkan kedepannya, para petani di indonesia dapat meningkatkan hasil produksi pertaniannya

 

“Suatu saat nanti saya bermimpi indonesia menjadi petani-petani berdasi, tidak perlu lagi menggunakan tangan untuk mengolah pertanian”.

 

“Dan menurut pandangan saya, kita harus angkat status petani kita ini menjadi petani yang berkelas, sekalipun itu dalam usaha mikro, “tutup Dr Embrus Sihombing.
