Ketua Umum Kick Boxing Indonesia (KBI) Banten, Kurniawan Tan melantik dan mengukuhkan Pengurusan KBI Cabang Tangerang Selatan (Tangsel), Selasa (6/4).

 

Acara  pelantikan itu berlangsung di Gedung DPRD Kota Tangsel yang turut dihadiri Ketua DPRD Abdul Rasyid, Sekda Bambang Nurtjahjo dan Ketua KONI Tangsel, Rita Juwita.

 

Kepada wartawan, Kurniawan mengatakan, potensi Tangsel cukup baik untuk menciptakan bibit baru bagi atlet kick boxing ini. “Makanya kami bentuk kepengurusan KBI di Tangsel, agar bisa lebih serius membina atlet-atlet kick boxing untuk dapat mencapai prestasi di event-event, daerah dan nasional, bahkan dunia,” ujar Kurniawan”.

 

Menurutnya, pembinaan itu sangat penting, agar atlet-atlet KBI Banten dapat berjaya di kejuaraan-kejuaraan seperti Sea Games maupun Asean Games. “Terangnya (red).

 

“Ada beberapa altet kita yang kini sedang mengikuti Seleknas Sea Games 2021, diantaranya Arnoldus Harsen,” kata Kurniawan seraya menambahkan,  semoga atletnya bisa lolos dan ikut dalam cabor kick boxing di Sea Games.”tambahnya”.

Kepada pengurus KBI Cabang Tangsel, Kurniawan minta agar bekerja secara serius, jujur dan bertanggung jawab. “Karena dengan kepengurusan yang baik, pembinaan terhadap altet-atlet kick boxing di wilayah ini dapat dimaksimalkan dan pada akhirnya bisa muncul juara-juara baru,” Harapnya”.
