GUNUNGSITOLI – Paralegal dan pengurus baru LBH – CKM (Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Cahaya Keadilan Masyarakat) dikukuhkan, yang dilaksanakan di Kantor LBH – CKM Jalan KL. Yos Sudarso Km 5 Hilihao, Kota Gunungsitoli, Provinsi Sumatera Utara, Sabtu (24/07/2021) pukul 14.00 wib.

Pengukuhan paralegal dan pengurus baru ini dilakukan oleh Direktur LBH – CKM Advokat Faahakhododo Telaumbanua, S.H alias Fakha Tel.

Sebelum pengukuhan paralegal dan pengurus LBH-CKM dimulai, terlebih dahulu acara dimulai dengan doa yang dipimpin oleh Pdm. Penataran Zebua, S.Pd, dan selanjutnya menyanyikan lagu Indonesia Raya yang dipimpin oleh Januari Dawolo, S.Si., M.Si. Kemudian pengukuhan langsung dipandu oleh Direktur LBH-CKM Fakha Telaumbanua

Setianus Gea, SE mewakili sambutan paralegal dan pengurus LBH-CKM mengatakan bahwa berterima kasih kepada Direktur LBH-CKM yang telah memberikan kepercayaan penuh untuk menjadi paralegal dan sekaligus pengurus dalam Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Cahaya Keadilan Masyarakat, semoga LBH-CKM ini ke depan berguna dan bermanfaat bagi masyarakat tidak mampu atau masyarakat miskin, “ucapnya.

Dalam keterangan persnya, Direktur LBH-CKM Fakha Tel menjelaskan bahwa hari ini paralegal dan pengurus baru LBH-CKM resmi dikukuhkan. Paralegal ini adalah salah satu pihak yang dapat memberikan bantuan hukum dalam pengertian luas selain advokat, dosen dan mahasiswa. Fungsi Paralegal bukanlah ditujukan untuk menggantikan fungsi advokat, melainkan untuk bekerjasama dalam pemenuhan akses keadilan bagi masyarakat miskin dan kelompok rentan, “jelasnya

Lanjut, Bung Fakha Tel mengatakan bahwa Paralegal ini sebagai Pemberi Bantuan Hukum yang tugasnya memberi bantuan hukum kepada penerima bantuan hukum atau klien bersama sama dengan seorang Advokat, dan bertanggungjawab langsung kepada Advokat, “ujarnya.

Paralegal didefinisikan sebagai “Seseorang yang bukan Advokat, yang memiliki pengetahuan di bidang hukum, baik hukum materiil maupun hukum acara, dengan pengawasan atau organisasi bantuan hukum, yang berperan membantu masyarakat pencari keadilan. Paralegal bisa bekerja di komunitasnya atau bekerja untuk organisasi bantuan hukum atau firma hukum dengan didampingi atau bersama sama dengan Advokat”, pungkas Direktur LBH-CKM.

Paralegal telah diakui sebagai bagian organisasi bantuan hukum di Indonesia berdasarkan Undang-Undang (UU) Nomor 16 Tahun 2011 tentang Bantuan Hukum, Peraturan Menteri Hukum dan Ham Nomor 3 Tahun 2021 tentang Paralegal dalam Pemberian Bantuan Hukum.
